Overview Luxury Boutique Hotel in Sandton is looking for an experienced Duty Manager. The Duty Manager acts as the property's primary leader on the floor, overseeing daily operations, guest relations and cross‑departmental coordination during their shift. You will ensure a seamless, luxurious guest experience while maintaining strict health, safety and service standards across all departments. Responsibilities Maintain a visible presence in public areas to welcome VIPs, anticipate guest needs, and handle any preferences. Perform service recovery, resolving complaints and inquiries quickly and professionally to protect the hotel’s reputation. Coordinate shifts across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage (F&B), and Spa departments. Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure the property’s ambiance is flawless. Lead shift handovers and brief staff on daily VIP arrivals and hotel events. Mentor junior team members on the floor and step into operational roles during busy periods. Oversee daily reporting, end‑of‑day handovers, and Property Management System (PMS) operations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and cash‑ups. Ensure all staff adhere to strict health, hygiene, and emergency protocols. Qualifications Qualification in hospitality management. At least 3–5 years hotel experience. Fluent oral and written English; second language is beneficial. Previous experience on a hotel property management system is preferable. A warm, helpful and sincere disposition. Great teamwork skills and good communication. Computer and systems literate. Organised, honest, helpful and attention to detail.
