Role Overview The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, performance, and reliability of solar installations within the Komatipoort region. This role combines hands‑on electrical maintenance with coordination and basic administrative duties, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and downtime is minimised. The successful candidate will also support new installations where required and play a key role in maintaining strong operational standards across sites. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on solar PV systems and associated electrical infrastructure Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on systems, including inverters, cabling, and distribution boards Support installation and commissioning of new solar systems when required Maintain and service pumps, motors, and related equipment (where applicable) Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues Keep accurate maintenance records, reports, and site documentation (using Word, Excel, Outlook) Coordinate and manage maintenance activities across sites in the Komatipoort region Ensure compliance with health, safety, and electrical standards Provide on‑site leadership when required and support junior staff or contractors Liaise with internal teams and clients regarding system performance and maintenance schedules Minimum Requirements Electrical qualification (N2/N3 or equivalent) 3‑phase qualification preferred (or solid 3‑phase experience) Proven experience in electrical maintenance Ability to perform administrative tasks (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Based in or willing to relocate to Komatipoort Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding ability Advantageous Experience in solar PV systems and battery storage Experience working with pumps and motors Understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling Valid driver’s license Key Competencies Strong technical and troubleshooting skills Good organisational and time management ability Leadership capability with a hands‑on approach Team player with good communication skills Ability to work independently and manage regional responsibilities High attention to detail and commitment to quality Working Conditions Based in Komatipoort, with a regional site focus Combination of on‑site technical work and light administrative duties Occasional travel within the region as required Outdoor and site‑based work environment Salary R20,000 per month (depending on experience) #J-18808-Ljbffr
