About the job Assistant Financial Manager Assistant Financial Manager Location: Cape Town (on-site) Type: Full-time, permanent Salary: R50,000 to R54,000 per month Heres what you will do: Oversee monthly financial reconciliations, journals, and cashbook postings to ensure accuracy and compliance. Review and refine retail finance outputs, from POS cash-ups to banking reconciliations. Take ownership of financial systems and SOP adherence, performing quarterly internal reviews and identifying areas for improvement. Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, validating team inputs and surfacing key insights for the Head of Finance. Champion automation and system integration projects, training the team and supporting change initiatives. Lead and mentor a talented finance team, conducting one-on-ones, identifying skills gaps, and reviewing outputs across all finance functions.
