This full-time hybrid position requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. The successful candidate will manage Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes, prepare and submit environmental applications, and produce high-quality reports in line with the requirements of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA). Responsibilities also include engaging with clients, specialists, and regulatory authorities, conducting site inspections, and coordinating specialist studies. Qualifications / Experience Required Professional Registration: Current registration with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) is preferred. Candidate EAPs or practitioners with a strong career record will also be considered. Education: A relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Experience: At least three (3) years of proven experience in environmental consulting and EIA processes. Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of NEMA, Specific Environmental Management Acts (SEMAs), and associated regulations, guidelines, and policies. Technical Skills: Excellent report writing, attention to detail, and professional communication skills, with strong proficiency in English. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, coordinate specialist inputs, and deliver on deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of GIS for mapping and spatial analysis will be advantageous. Location and logistics: The successful candidate will be based in the Stellenbosch area, with a willingness to travel as required.
