We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Commis Chef / Chipper to join our fast-paced steakhouse kitchen. This role is key to delivering consistent, high-quality sides and supporting the grill team during service. The ideal candidate is energetic, disciplined, and able to perform under pressure. Minimum Requirements 1–2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen (steakhouse or high-volume environment advantageous) Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy service periods Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook chips/fries and other fried items to a consistent standard Assist with preparation of sides, sauces, and basic mise en place Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the fryer and prep sections Ensure correct portioning, seasoning, and presentation of dishes Support senior chefs during service as required Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation (FIFO) Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations Skills & Attributes Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen Good time management and attention to detail Team player with a positive attitude Physically fit and able to stand for long periods #J-18808-Ljbffr
