Job & Company Description An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Cost Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with both finance and operations teams to provide meaningful cost analysis, improve efficiencies, and support informed decision-making.Duties: Prepare and maintain accurate product costing and cost models Analyse manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost savings Monitor inventory valuation and stock movements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Prepare monthly cost reports and management information packs Support month-end reporting and financial close processes Review and improve costing methodologies and internal controls Work closely with production and operational teams to improve efficiencies Assist with annual audits and ad hoc financial projects Qualifications & Skills: BCom Accounting, Finance, or related qualification essential CIMA qualification required Minimum 4+ years' experience in a Cost Accounting role Manufacturing industry experience essential Strong understanding of inventory management and product costing principles Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate financial information effectively to operational stakeholders
