Established fertiliser manufacturer which is a subsidiary of a leading agricultural group, is seeking a commercially minded Financial Manager to lead its finance and administration function. This is a key leadership role suited to a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic operational environment and enjoys partnering with business leaders to drive performance and growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring sound financial management, strong governance practices, effective internal controls, and the ongoing development of a high-performing finance and administration team. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Responsibile for debtors, creditors, cash flow management, and treasury functions. Oversee daily bank reconciliations and weekly petty cash reconciliations. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles. Prepare and review management accounts, interim reports, and annual financial statements. Ensure accurate and timely tax submissions and statutory compliance. Maintain and manage the fixed asset register. Develop, monitor & report on budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Strategic Business Partnering Analyse financial results and provide insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Develop and evaluate financial models to support business planning and investment decisions. Contribute to the strategic direction and long-term sustainability of the business. Governance, Systems & Controls Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls. Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, regulatory, and group governance requirements. Manage financial and production system access controls and user permissions. Ensure audit readiness and support the achievement of clean audit outcomes.. Inventory & Operational Oversight Oversee warehouse, inventory, and raw material control processes. Monitor stock management practices and ensure effective inventory controls are maintained. Partner with operational teams to improve efficiencies and support business objectives. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop the finance, administration, and inventory teams. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. Manage team performance, employee development, and conflict resolution effectively. Minimum Requirements Qualifications BCom Accounting, BAcc, or equivalent CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous. Experience Proven experience as a Financial Manager within a fast-paced operational environment. Experience within agricultural processing, manufacturing, production, or related industries Understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams. Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central will be advantageous. Analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
