Key Roles & Responsibilities: Assist the Managed Care Actuary in monitoring and managing claims risks across medical scheme clients Evaluate the impact of managed care interventions and report on performance trends Extract, manipulate, and interrogate large datasets to provide meaningful insights Present analytical findings clearly and translate results into strategic client advice Engage healthcare providers on behalf of, or in collaboration with, clients Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Provide input on benefit design, pricing, and reserving for client medical schemes Skills & Experience: Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability Advanced Excel capability; experience with macros advantageous Strong data manipulation and interpretation skills SAS and/or SQL experience highly advantageous Excellent communication and presentation skills High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy Ability to work proactively in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement capability Qualification: Degree with majors in Actuarial Science, Mathematical Statistics, or Mathematics Healthcare or medical scheme experience will be advantageous Competency Requirements: Enjoys working in dynamic environments rather than traditional actuarial settings Comfortable analysing complex problems using large volumes of data Demonstrates curiosity and does not take results at face value Client‑centric mindset with the ability to influence and advise Strong personal effectiveness, adaptability, and commitment #J-18808-Ljbffr
