An established, award-winning fine dining group in Cape Town is looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. You will work closely with the Head Chef to uphold the high standards the restaurant is known for, while contributing your own skill and creativity to a kitchen that takes its food seriously. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen Leading sections during service and maintaining plating and quality standards Assisting with menu development, recipe testing, and seasonal updates Training, mentoring, and motivating junior kitchen staff Managing prep schedules and ensuring the kitchen is service-ready at all times Deputising for the Head Chef when required What We Are Looking For Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a fine dining environment A culinary qualification is advantageous but not essential if experience is strong A thorough understanding of a la carte service and kitchen operations Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen awareness Someone who is organised, calm under pressure, and leads by example Salary Dependent on experience.
