FRYER (KITCHEN STAFF) Location: Sandton, JohannesburgA busy and well‑established food outlet in Sandton is looking for a skilled and reliable Fryer to join the kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and a strong understanding of fryer operations and food preparation standards. Minimum 1–3 years’ experience working as a fryer or in a similar kitchen role Must be based in Sandton or surrounding areas Ability to work efficiently in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Strong attention to detail and consistency Reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays Key Responsibilities: Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Prepare and cook food items according to standard recipes and portion guidelines. Monitor oil quality and temperature to ensure consistent cooking results and food quality. Ensure all fried items are cooked to the correct texture, colour, and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the fryer station at all times. Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as portioning, breading, and marinating. Manage stock levels of fryer‑related items and notify management of shortages. Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices to ensure product freshness and reduce waste. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service during busy periods. Dispose of used oil safely and maintain proper waste management practices.
