Reporting To:Vice President & CEO, MEA Region About the Role Sungrow is seeking an experiencedSenior Account Managerto drive sales ofPV inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and medium-voltage power station solutionsin theutility-scale marketacross Southern Africa. This strategic role focuses on developing and managing key relationships withdevelopers, EPCs, utilities, and IPPs, ensuring Sungrow’s leadership in large-scale renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Execution Promote Sungrow’scentral inverters, string inverters, and BESS solutionsto utility-scale clients in Southern Africa. Develop and executesales strategiesfor large-scale PV and storage projects, from lead generation to contract closure. Identify and targetstrategic accountsto expand Sungrow’s market share in the utility segment. Client & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain long-term relationships withEPCs, developers, utilities, and government entities. Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, technical, legal) to deliver tailored proposals and negotiate master supply agreements (MSAs), PPAs, and project-specific contracts. Monitorregional policies, industry trends, and competitor activityto inform Sungrow’s market positioning. Provide feedback to product teams to optimize solutions for Southern Africa’s utility-scale demands. Track pipeline opportunities, deliverregular revenue forecasts, and adjust tactics to meet targets. Represent Sungrow at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance brand visibility. Project Support & Compliance Ensure projects align with local regulations (e.g., REIPPPP, grid codes) and client requirements. Collaborate with engineering and logistics teams to guaranteeon-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Requirements Essential Qualifications: 8+ years in PV industry sales, with a focus onutility-scale projects(inverter/BESS experience preferred). Proven track record inB2B salestoEPCs, developers, and utilities(not channel/distribution). Deep understanding ofSouthern Africa’s energy policies, utility procurement processes, and competitive landscape. Strongnegotiation skillswith experience closingmulti-MW project deals. Preferred Attributes: Existing network withtop EPCs and IPPsin Southern Africa. Technical familiarity withPV plant design, grid compliance, and energy storage systems. English and Chinese fluency(additional local languages a plus). Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
