Have the opportunity to work for an international firm Role Overview An award-winning, international audit and accounting firm is seeking an Audit Quality Senior Manager for their growing Cape Town office. Reporting directly to the Head of Audit Quality and Compliance, this dedicated role is designed to continuously elevate the firm's audit standards. Key Responsibilities Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and audit quality monitoring (AQM) activities, including thematic and in-flight reviews. Evaluate and maintain the firm’s System of Quality Management (ISQM), ensuring the prompt remediation of any identified deficiencies. Conduct practical cold file reviews and draft comprehensive quality reports for department-wide dissemination. Assist in liaising with regulatory bodies and support the completion and submission of regulatory returns. Supervise, manage, and mentor junior audit quality staff on specific projects and daily operations. Provide technical consultations and contribute to the ongoing development of the firm's audit methodology. Design, develop, and deliver technical guidance and quality training sessions for the broader audit team. Utilise data analytics and AI technologies to enhance and streamline internal audit processes. Qualifications & Experience Qualified CA (SA) or ACA 6 to 10 years of experience within an audit environment. Practical, demonstrable experience conducting cold file reviews and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Strong working knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP (FRSs 101 and 102), the Companies Act, and ISAs. Proven exposure to ISQM processes and the practical application of modern audit methodologies. Hands‑on experience reviewing the annual reports of private and listed companies.
