Are you a data-driven tech enthusiast who loves turning ambiguity into structured, defensible numbers? At Paracon Solutions, we don’t just build technology solutions; we architect them for success from the ground up. We are looking for an Estimation Consultant to join our Delivery team This isn't your typical corporate role. If you are a naturally curious problem-solver, a hobbyist coder, a gamer, or someone who is genuinely energized by data, AI, and modern tech ecosystems, you will thrive here. You will sit at the intersection of tech, data, and business strategy—translating client requirements into realistic project baselines that set our delivery teams up to win Responsibilities Deconstruct Tech Solutions: Analyze software architectures, requirements documents, and scope papers to figure out what it actually takes to build the Build Effort & Cost Models: Use both bottom-up and top-down estimation techniques (such as story points, three-point/PERT, and work breakdown structures) to model resource requirements, duration, and cost Collaborate with Tech Experts: Work alongside Solution Architects, Tech Leads, and Sales teams to challenge and validate project assumptions and risk Optimize with Data: Capture actual data from completed projects, analyze historical productivity benchmarks, and use those insights to continuously improve our estimation model Present and Defend: Clearly document and present your numbers, assumptions, and confidence levels to internal stakeholders and decision-maker A Tech Disciple: You have a genuine love for technology, data, and AI. You’re the person who wants to know how things work under the hood Analytical & Rigorous: You have strong numerical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and you aren’t afraid to dig into data to question assumption A Continuous Learner: You absorb new domains and tools quickly. While we use advanced parametric estimation tools like Galorath SEER (and its SEERai layer), we don’t expect you to know them day one—we will teach you the tooling if you have the appetite to master it High Integrity: You prefer producing honest, balanced, and realistic data over simply telling stakeholders what they want to hear Qualifications & Experience Education: Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
