Provide high level administrative assistance to the Head of Legal and the Legal Managers. Process legal invoices from external law firms ie. ensure invoices are approved, verify invoices and upload invoices onto the Signing Hub for the necessary final approvals before payment; maintain a record of invoices processed. Develop, maintain an effective and efficient property database system and Register for the Companies “licence to mine/operate” which includes property rights, mining rights, surface right Manage all property legacy transfers until finalisation. Assists with Surface Right Permit queries received. Conduct an annual audit on all company property assets by conducting Windeed searches. Assist the Properties Department to ensure that their database system compares and aligns to the asset database of the Legal Department. Assist the Properties Department, where required, in retrieving property documentation (original or otherwise) from either the Harmony’s archives or from the Deeds Office. Attend to the conveyancing documentation of the home ownership property sales and following up of the registration process thereof in order to update the database system. Attend to queries on property registrations ie. copies of title deeds. Assist with Surface Right Permit queries received and transfers/abandonment thereof. Assists the Legal Department and Property Department with specialized property transactions (i.e. outside of the house sales) and donations. Manage permits and permitting. Be responsible for the annual auditing of the validity of the mining rights, to ensure that the mining rights do not lapse and that renewals are timeously submitted.
