Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Junior Quantity Surveyor located in the City of Cape Town. The Junior QS will assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and schedules to ensure projects remain within financial and temporal constraints. They will engage in contract administration, track progress, and manage project documentation. The role also involves liaising with various teams, evaluating tenders, and maintaining consistent monitoring of project expenses and financial outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist with cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting Measure and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and site valuations Support tendering and procurement processes, including obtaining quotations Monitor project costs and track budget vs actual expenditure Assist with subcontractor payments, claims, and variations Conduct site visits to measure progress and verify work completed Maintain accurate project records, cost reports, and documentation Assist with the preparation of monthly valuations and final accounts Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors Identify potential cost risks and support mitigation measures Minimum Requirements Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying 1–3 years’ experience Basic knowledge of construction methods and contracts Proficiency in MS Excel and QS software (CCS) Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and cost‑control mindset Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Willingness to learn and develop within the QS discipline #J-18808-Ljbffr
