Senior Video Editor – Responsibilities Define and lead the global video and motion creative vision. Translate brand strategy into engaging video narratives across campaigns and platforms. Ensure all video content reflects the brand’s tone of voice—premium, engaging, and human. Oversee storyboarding, scripting, editing, and final delivery. Lead, mentor and develop a team of video editors, animators and motion designers. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to elevate creative output. Manage workload, priorities and team performance. Partner with global marketing and regional teams to deliver high-impact video campaigns. Oversee production of content for digital, social, email, web and events. Ensure video content is optimised for different platforms, formats and audiences. Maintain consistency across global markets while allowing for localisation. Oversee end‑to‑end video production (concept → delivery). Manage internal and external production resources, including freelancers and agencies. Ensure efficient workflows, timelines and budgets. Step in hands‑on when needed (editing, motion or creative problem‑solving). Maintain and evolve video style guidelines, templates and motion systems. Ensure all outputs meet high creative and technical standards. Champion innovation in video formats, transitions and storytelling techniques. Stay up to date with video trends, formats (e.g. short‑form, vertical video) and platforms. Explore and implement new tools, including AI for video editing and production. Identify opportunities to scale video production efficiently across the business. Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing and visual narrative. Experience delivering content across multiple platforms (social, web, email, events). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience in lifestyle, luxury or service‑led brands (preferred). Knowledge of sound design, colour grading and post‑production workflows. Experience managing external production partners or shoots. Familiarity with scalable content systems and templates. Understanding of AI‑driven video tools and automation. Hybrid / Home Office Guidelines This role is Cape Town‑based and requires commuting to the office at least 2 days per week.
