Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our team in Durban, South Africa. As a Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with our teachers to support and enhance the learning experience of our students. Key Responsibilities Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons Provide one‑on‑one and small group support to students Monitor and track student progress Assist with classroom management and behavior management Prepare teaching materials and resources Supervise students during breaks and other activities Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students Perform administrative tasks as assigned by the head teacher Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in education or related field is preferred Previous experience working with children or in a classroom setting is an advantage Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time‑management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives Contract Details This is a full‑time position with a 1‑year contract. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am‑4pm. The salary will be competitive and based on qualifications and experience.
