Job Description Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to join their team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Lines Manager, with exposure to EXCO-level engagement in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for: Commercial underwriting within engineering insurance portfolios Handling UMA and/or insurer-based underwriting processes Managing day-to-day underwriting operations within a commercial book Engaging in risk assessment and policy structuring Supporting business underwriting requirements in line with insurer standards Liaising with internal stakeholders and senior management Qualifications RE qualification preferred (not essential depending on experience) Skills The successful candidate will have: 510 years experience in commercial underwriting Must have experience within UMA or an insurer environment Strong commercial underwriting background (engineering insurance advantageous) Strong technical underwriting capability and attention to detail Ability to work in a structured, in-office environment
