This role bridges the gap between complex property/financial regulations and agile software solutions. Requirements LLB Degree (Admitted Attorney or Advocate with a valid certificate). 5+ Years PAE in legal, risk, and compliance roles. Regulatory Expertise: Deep knowledge of POPIA, GDPR, FICA, NCA, and the EU AI Act. Sector Knowledge: Experience with SA regulators (SARB, FIC, PPRA, CSOS). Skills: Strong commercial drafting, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced tech environment. Key Responsibilities Legal: Draft and negotiate SaaS, NDA, and commercial agreements; provide day-to-day legal advice and manage external counsel. Risk: Identify and quantify business risks; conduct audits of software products and implement mitigation strategies.
