The ideal candidate is adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a small, close-knit lodge setting.Core Criteria:Formal culinary qualification advantageous Proven experience in a similar chef role, preferably in a lodge or safari environment Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen with confidence Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and food safety standards Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work across all meal periods Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment Reliable, hardworking, and a team player Core Responsibilities:Plan and prepare all meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner to a consistently high standard Maintain consistency and quality in all food preparation and presentation Manage stock control, ordering, and the reduction of wastage Ensure all hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times Manage kitchen administration including requisitions and stock sheets Contribute to menu planning and the development of new dishes Maintain a clean, organised, and well-run kitchen at all times Remuneration & Benefits:Accommodation and meals included 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off work cycle
