Must be a trade-tested commercial vehicle Diesel Technician Responsibilities: Conduct visual inspections and/or on-board diagnosis during the pre-diagnosis Receive the workshop job card and check its content for accuracy and understanding Ensure flat rates on repairs are adhered to Attend to office hour & after hour breakdowns Job card sign-off Ensure all parts used on the job is booked to the job card, ie engine oils Prepare operating equipment and bring the necessary parts to the service bay Perform all maintenance services by manufacturer specifications and themaintenance schedule/maintenance computer Perform all visual inspections, calibration work, adjustments, etc Identify deviations, irregularities, and unusual wear and tear and initiate additions to order andfeedback to the Workshop Foreman Reset maintenance systems as per internal processes and procedures Reset dismantled parts and prepare their return to the supplier, if there are parts that can bereconditioned Inspect disassembled and dismantled parts and replace them with new or reconditioned parts Return parts (old/unusable parts) and document the work carried out Compare the current state of the vehicle with common production configurations and evaluate itstechnical condition Perform final checks on the vehicle being repaired, using testing and measuring equipment toensure repairs have been carried out in full, and that the vehicle is roadworthy and functionally reliable Maintain professional conduct Assist in relevant operations/operational functions as required Ensure dress code is by company Standard Operating Procedures Ensure standards of Health and Safety are maintained #J-18808-Ljbffr
