Our client, a growing technology and connectivity solutions company, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Cape Town. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional looking to grow their accounting career within a fast-paced and technology-driven business environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist with daily accounting and financial administration functions.• Process journals, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring.• Support month-end and year-end financial processes.• Assist with VAT calculations and submissions.• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.• Capture and process financial information on accounting systems.• Assist with management accounts and financial reporting preparation.• Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks.• Assist with billing, supplier reconciliations, and customer account queries where required. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• 2 to 5 years’ accounting or bookkeeping experience.• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.• Experience working on accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.• High attention to detail and strong numerical ability.• Organised, reliable, and able to work in a deadline-driven environment.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Experience within technology, telecommunications, services, digital, or fast-paced commercial environments will be advantageous. Experience and Qualifications • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.• Exposure to reconciliations, creditors, debtors, journals, and month-end procedures.• Experience working with ERP or accounting software.• Exposure to billing environments or multi-entity accounting environments will be advantageous.
