What you’ll be doing if you get the job: As a member of our team, the primary focus of your role is to be responsible for the development and deployment of software components and stand‑alone software applications. You’ll work closely with our Application Foundry team which is made up of Developers, Testers and Business Analysts. Who’ll you report to: You’ll be based within our Information and Communication Technology division at our Sandton, Johannesburg head office. You’ll report to the ICT Manager: Development. Your qualifications: You must have passed Grade 12 / Matric with an achievement symbol of no less than C for higher grade Maths You must have a degree or diploma in Information Systems, Engineering or Mathematical Sciences Your experience: You must have 2 to 5 years’ experience in developing solutions using various technologies like WCF, EF, MVC4/5 and WebAPI You must have experience in the Web Development, multithreaded applications and rich internet applications Your Knowledge: Technologies: .Net 4, LINQ, EF, WebApi. Sound understanding of operating systems, specifically Microsoft Windows, as well as various communication protocols Good understanding of UML, XML, HTML, JSON Agile development Silverlight, WCF, grpc, rest, docker, Kubernetes and WPF knowledge would be beneficial Your technical skills: .Net Must have: ASP Net, .Net 4 and above, LINQ Beneficial: WPF, Entity Framework, PowerShell, WCF Web Must have: JavaScript, JQuery and CSS Beneficial: TypeScript, Angular, Bootstrap SQL Must have: Extensive experience creating queries, triggers, procedures and functions Beneficial: SQL Administration and Optimisation Productivity tools Azure DevOps, GIT or Jenkins Your outputs: Technical Specification Components and Applications Development and Maintenance Unit Testing Software Release and Component Configuration Your character traits: You must continually strive and have the perseverance to find better ways to solve the challenges at hand You must be able to work independently You must be self‑managed and driven You must be a problem solver You must have good communication skills You must be a fast worker and delivcer accurate results You must be able to manage conflict You must be able to thrive under pressure You must be able to lead a small team of Developers Your package and growth prospects: BrightRock offers a competitive pay-package and, as a growing player in a major financial services sector, there is excellent scope for future growth in this permanent position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
