Bryanston, South Africa | Posted on 31/03/2026 Digby WellsEnvironmental is looking for a Hydrogeologist to join our team in Bryanston.The successful candidate will undertake groundwater studies related to thedistribution, flow and quality of groundwater, provide specialist groundwaterinput on environmental and mining projects, and support clients with groundwatermanagement and monitoring requirements. Key Responsibilities Interpret hydrogeological data frommaps, monitoring results and historical information to develop conceptualgroundwater models Design and implement groundwatermonitoring programmes, groundwater impact assessments and groundwater qualityassessments Undertake hydrogeologicalinvestigations and fieldwork, including mine dewatering and water monitoringactivities Apply conceptual and numericalgroundwater modelling techniques where required Compile technical reports forclients and regulatory authorities Liaise with clients, regulators andproject teams Contribute to business developmentinitiatives Provide support and mentorship tojunior staff Requirements Qualifications Honours degree in Hydrogeology (MSc preferred) or related field Experience 4–5 years’ experience in hydrogeology within a consultingenvironment Experience with groundwater modelling will be advantageous Skills Strong hydrogeological knowledge Understanding of relevant water andenvironmental legislation Project management and environmentalmanagement knowledge Excellent report writing andtechnical communication skills Ability to work independently andwithin multidisciplinary teams Digby Wells Environmental offers theopportunity to work on technically challenging projects that supportresponsible mining and sustainable water management.
