We are seeking highly knowledgeable Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to designs, and develops open courses for Microsoft on the edX platform. Collaborate with learning designers, course writers, and other roles to design short courses using supplied Microsoft content and build net new content to meet the course scope and learner personas provided. Take into other product requirements and restraints to ensure that learning objectives and the overall course outcome are still met. Key Responsibilities: Course Architecture: Scope, design, and develop net-new content for Microsoft open courses to meet specific learner personas. Curriculum Innovation: Collaborate with learning designers and writers to build courses on topics including Digital Learning Design, Leading Digital Transformation in Higher Education, and AI in Education Systems. Quality Governance: Ensure all course outcomes and learning objectives are met while navigating product requirements and technical restraints. Strategic Alignment: Use supplied Microsoft content to design short courses that reflect the current EdTech ecosystem Required Skills and Background: Instructional Design Models Multimedia Principles in Learning Change Management Strategic Planning Generative AI literacy AI Ethics & Policy Background in technical writing or documentation or online learning content development preferred Qualifications & Experience: Professional Experience: 5–10 years combined experience in higher education, learning design, digital learning, and online education.
