What you’ll be doing Primary Function – Site Management & Coordination Manage and coordinate the on-site execution of pump station construction and piping installation works. Supervise the installation of pumps, valves, pipelines, supports, and associated equipment. Monitor construction progress against the project schedule and implement corrective actions as required. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements on‑site. Primary Function – Technical Compliance & Quality Control Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes/standards. Conduct rigorous inspections and quality control checks on welding, fabrication, and installation. Oversee critical activities including pressure testing, flushing, alignment, and commissioning. Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and general arrangement drawings. Secondary Function – Stakeholder Liaison & Reporting Liaise with design engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues. Coordinate effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary teams. Prepare detailed site reports, progress updates, and documentation for project tracking. You will report directly to the Project Manager. What you’ll need Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical considered with relevant experience). Experience: Minimum 3 to 7 years’ experience in site‑based project execution, specifically in pump stations and pipelines. Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with piping system fabrication, installation, and testing. Standards: Working knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ASME, SANS codes, or equivalent). Licensing: Valid driver’s license and own vehicle and willingness to be site‑based for the full contract duration. Pass Site Medical and Security checks. What is in it for you?
