Job Summary To grow ABSA’s market revenue in our client focused model by performing a role that is responsible for commodities execution, with a primary focus on linear metals commodity trade (physical and derivative) and FX, and including rates, equity and digital asset instruments. Will be responsible for pricing, risk management, product development and client engagement. The role is suited to a graduate keen to pursue a career in trading. Must have working experience (minimum 3 years) within a global market environment. Responsibilities Grow revenue from client flow across various commodities, instruments and product. Maintain and expand on market share with focus on new clients and product. Ensure high quality client engagement, collaborating with immediate team as well as broader business to grow revenue. Provide accurate and consistent market commentary that drives impactful conversations both internally and externally to brokers and clients. Constructive and proactive engagement with internal stakeholders (Trading, Coverage Banking, Origination, Operations, XVA Desk, Digital, Sales, Treasury etc.). Accurately and timely pricing of flow and structures, both OTC and on exchange. Stay abreast of any regulatory changes that have an impact on how we conduct business and adapt to such changes. Work with relevant teams in E‑commerce trading and QA to drive the digital asset strategy for the bank specific to commodities, ensuring market lead and seamless client experience. Ensure compliance to all internal policies, codes of conduct and external regulations. Maintain a solution‑minded attitude and positive contribution to the high‑performance culture of the Global Markets business. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas in Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required). Minimum 3 years experience within a global market environment.
