ABOUT THIS ROLE Are you an experienced Conveyancer ready to step into a senior, leadership-driven role? A well-established legal firm based in Umhlanga, Durban is seeking a Senior Associate / Junior Partner to take ownership of complex conveyancing matters while mentoring a team and contributing to the growth of the department. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven legal professional looking to combine technical expertise with strategic input and client engagement. WHAT YOU WILL DO Manage the full conveyancing process from instruction through to registration Draft and review commercial bonds (mortgage and notarial) for major financial institutions Handle property transfers, bond registrations, and cancellations Manage complex transactions including subdivisions, consolidations, and sectional title registers Ensure compliance with property laws, regulations, and FICA requirements Liaise with clients, banks, and relevant stakeholders Act as a key point of contact for complex property matters Supervise and mentor conveyancing paralegals and candidate attorneys Assist in building and maintaining strong client relationships Contribute to the growth and success of the conveyancing department WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR LLB Degree Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer 5–10 years’ experience in a conveyancing environment Strong knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures Ability to manage high volumes of transactions Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents Proficiency in MS Office and conveyancing software (e.g. LexisNexis, Stordoc or similar) Ability to work independently and use initiative Own transport If you are a motivated Conveyancer looking to take the next step into a senior, growth-focused role, we’d love to hear from you.
