This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with experience in project scheduling, industrial automation, and site team coordination who can manage projects from kick-off through to FAT and final handover. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR - NDip/BTech or BEng in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering (Essential) - 35 years experience in electrical projects or industrial automation - Experience with project scheduling, documentation, and drawing control - Panel build, commissioning, and FAT experience advantageous - Proven ability to manage and direct technical teams on site - Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines - Own reliable transport - Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills - Ability to work independently and within a team environment ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE - FMCG / Food & Beverage project experience - PLC, E&I, or control systems exposure - Eplan or electrical drafting software exposure - International project delivery experience COMPUTER SKILLS - Computer literacy (MS Windows, Outlook, Excel & MS Project) - Proficient in Excel and Sage KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and manage detailed project schedules aligned with client and internal requirements - Generate and review electrical design drawings and manage drawing revisions - Compile project databooks for quality inspections and FAT - Coordinate and direct daily activities of technicians and apprentices on site - Prepare procurement packages, obtain quotes, approve orders, and manage material delivery - Track project budgets and manage scope changes and ECRs - Liaise with suppliers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are achieved - Provide structured project status updates to senior management ABOUT THE ROLE The Electrical Project Engineer will oversee the successful execution of electrical and automation projects from planning through to completion.
