Internship: Library And Information Science The CSIR has an internship opportunity for Library and Information Science in the Library Technical Services and eResources Stream. The purpose of the Internship is to provide graduates with an opportunity to gain practical work experience in the library and information services field within a research and development environment. This position is based in Pretoria. Responsibilities Monitoring and processing Interlibrary Loan requests via the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) library system. Front desk duties and walk‑in clients training. Assist in the administration of eResources. Cataloguing of books and journals. Assist in collection management projects and the shelving of books and journals. Identifying items for weeding by following the approved weeding guidelines. Assist with systems in conducting quality control of the OCLC Knowledge Base. Qualifications Excellent organisational skills. Customer service attitude.
