They are looking to appoint a Marsden Machine Setter at their Blackheath (Cape Town) based facility. Only candidates already in the Western Cape will be considered. Applications close on 16/03/26. Requirements: Grade 12 with maths and physical science OR N3 / N4 Mechanical Engineering Red Seal trade test certificate in Toolmaking, Fitting & Turning or Machining Hands-on experience with Eccentric machines and tooling (CNC machines) Good understanding of production processes in Marsden Able to read, interpret and work from technical drawings Good fault finding and problem-solving skills Able to work with a tape measure and vernier High level of attention and accuracy Able to work under pressure OSH awareness Responsibilities: Set up machines for production according to work instructions Monitor tooling and report to Toolroom on a regular basis Examine for defects, measuring for conformance to specs Adhere to standard times Maintenance of measuring equipment – including regular calibration General house-keeping Wear PPE Able to work over-time and night shift Forward a detailed CV immediately so as to ensure you don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!
