This person will be required to procure components and including components for special projects, costing, assisting production managers with control and identification of components and assisting with stock taking. Procurement: Sourcing Technical Specifications of products Obtaining Quotes Procurement of and Stock Control of Key Manufacturing Components. Implement Material Management with Production and Suppliers Ensure enough capacity at Supplier to support Production requirements. Overseeing the buying process which will include supervision of the junior staff Maintain Small Asset Register. Driving the follow-up process. Weekly and Monthly Reports of Key Manufacturing Components. Costings:Estimates on standard products Estimates on special products actuals on standard products actuals on special products. Assist with stock takes with regards to:MFP’s Work in progress check on variances and take appropriate action Participate in production meetings Qualifications: A diploma or degree which includes procurement and or stock management. Alternatively, 5 years of experience in procurement of technical products. 3 - 4 years of experience in procurement. Characteristics: Must be an open and honest person Must be very organized Be a logical thinker and numbers orientated Emotionally mature Fast learner Requirements: Must be able to read and understand technical drawings Must have basic mechanical knowledge – screws, bolts etc. Must be fluent in English both verbal and written.
