One of South Africa’s largest renewable energy companies and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) is seeking a ICT Manager who will serve as the internal owner of technology operations. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable service delivery (Run ) while driving technology maturity and optimization (Grow ). Responsibilities Vendor Governance: Own the relationship with the MSP, reviewing performance (SLAs), incident trends, and root cause analyses. Risk Management: Ensure ICT risks are visible and managed; oversee adherence to policies and disaster recovery readiness. Escalation Path: Act as the primary internal point for operational remediations and improvements. Proactive Improvement: Identify opportunities to consolidate systems, reduce complexity, and optimize platforms (M365, Security, Collaboration). Scalability: Ensure ICT processes scale alongside Anthem’s expanding renewable energy portfolio. Audit & Compliance: Lead ICT audits and manage risk remediation initiatives. Strategic Integration: Partner with the OCIO to implement the technology roadmap. Internal Champion: Coordinate between business stakeholders and external partners to ensure adoption and benefits realization. Change Management: Maintain visibility of project dependencies, risks, and change impacts. Budgeting: Manage ICT spend, licensing renewals, and monthly MSP invoicing/reconciliations. Business Cases: Support and motivate budget requests for new systems or enhancements. Team Leadership: Manage the Digital Transformation Lead and IT Operations Lead. Stakeholder Relations: Act as the internal face of ICT to EXCO and management, providing structured reporting on performance and strategy. Minimum Requirements Degree: Information Systems, Business, or Technology. Experience: 10–15 years in ICT, with at least 5 years in a Senior Management role. Managed Services: Proven track record governing MSPs and external vendors. Sector Knowledge: Energy sector experience is highly advantageous.
