Qualified Technician – Kia SA – Sandton Full‑time Kia South Africa (Pty) Ltd, trading as IMFRG, is looking for a qualified technician to join its service team in Sandton, Gauteng. This is a permanent, full‑time position. Key Responsibilities Carry out diagnostic work and support mechanics as directed by the Foreman. Perform fault diagnosis to speed up vehicle servicing. Ensure service times meet the manufacturers’ targets. Communicate with service advisors and customers, providing clear explanations. Maintain vehicle care and safety standards. Return serviced vehicles to customers in a clean condition. Complete required OEM training (online, classroom, etc.) within set timeframes. Handle administrative tasks such as completing service forms and preparing reports. Mentor apprentices, sign off logbooks and evaluate their technical ability where applicable. Collaborate with team members, other departments, customers and service providers. Participate in marketing campaigns when required. Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned. Requirements Qualified automotive technician with 3–5 years post‑qualification experience. Kia‑specific technician experience is an advantage. Relevant OEM product training is a plus. Competence with manufacturer diagnostic equipment and computer systems. Strong mechanical insight, problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills. Good mental alertness and attention to detail. Excellent English communication and writing skills for accurate job‑card documentation. Customer‑orientated, team‑player with strong interpersonal skills.
