Key performance areas for this position will include the following: Plan, organise and control all relevant Electrical and Electronic Engineering work forArtisans and other personnel within the department. Perform calibration on various PLCs and other electronic control systems. Ensure that all planned maintenance work, related to Electronics, is carried out efficientlywithin time limits provided. Research equipment and component needs, sources, competitive prices, delivery timesand ongoing operational costs. Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyse results to evaluateperformance and determine need for adjustment. Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems. Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions forassembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and fieldrepresentatives as necessary to procure replacement parts. Qualifications and experience: Applicants should meet the following criteria: 5 years post qualification experience. Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry. Experience with working on PLCs, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and networks. Thisincludes troubleshooting and basic programming work. Familiar with various tools and equipment related Electronics MS Office and diagnostic software. N6 / equivalent in Electrical Engineering (heavy / light current) + Electrical Tradeadvantageous.
