Roche Diagnostics is seeking a Key Account Manager (Histology & Sequencing) based preferably in the Western Cape with commercial experience in the Diagnostic / Medical industry. The role will involve developing account and portfolio strategies, identifying and securing sales opportunities, building relationships with key executive decision makers in customers to grow Roche market share. While the focus is on the Western Cape, the role will involve travel to other provinces. Responsibilities Stakeholder engagement and management: build customer relationships by participating in Roche and industry events, identify and engage with executive decision makers, understand market trends and provide feedback as required. Account management: implement account and portfolio strategy, understand customer requirements, collaborate with marketing, secure new clients or expand footprint in existing clients, identify sales opportunities, develop proposals, and present to customers. Campaigns and sales processes: implement campaigns with Product Managers, respond to sales-related queries, report on sales performance (KPIs), analyze data, and monitor profitability. CRM and data stewardship: load and maintain sales information in the CRM, track pipeline progress, identify risks/opportunities, and ensure accurate customer data. Prospecting and growth: develop growth strategies, identify new markets and customer needs, maintain knowledge of products and value proposition, and expand client base. Customer relationships: engage with customers to understand needs, map stakeholders, prepare profiles, and maintain effective internal relationships to align key account strategies. Travel: ability to travel nationally and internationally as required. Qualifications Required Qualification: NQF 7 in Medical science or similar. Required Experience: 3–5 years in a commercial role in the medical industry; preferably with histology and/or sequencing experience. In the absence of relevant qualifications, experience in the relevant field and at the relevant level will be considered.
