Job Description Systems Administrator Malelane Mpumalanga A well-established technology solutions provider is seeking to recruit a skilled, experienced Systems Administrator for a permanent on-site position based in Malelane, Mpumalanga. This is a senior operational role within a high-demand enterprise on-premises environment, supporting critical infrastructure, servers, virtualisation, backups, SCCM, Active Directory, patch management, cybersecurity, and Layer 1 infrastructure operations. The successful candidate MUST be permanently based in Malelane or willing to relocate, as this is a full-time on-site operational role. Key Requirements & Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator in an enterprise on-prem environment Strong Microsoft Server infrastructure experience Advanced Active Directory & Group Policy experience SCCM / System Centre Administration experience VMware / Hyper-V virtualisation experience Cluster Management experience Backup and Disaster Recovery management Strong patch management and security remediation experience SQL basic administration & maintenance experience Experience with enterprise storage and server hardware Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Experience with server firmware upgrades and lifecycle planning Cybersecurity remediation and vulnerability management experience Understanding of enterprise networking and Layer 1 infrastructure Experience working in production-critical environments Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified (MCSA / MCSE / Azure Hybrid related certifications advantageous) VMware Certifications advantageous Fortinet / Aruba knowledge advantageous ITIL advantageous Primary Responsibilities Include: Daily server and infrastructure health checks Monitoring PRTG for uptime and alerts Active Directory maintenance and replication checks SCCM software deployments and reporting Group Policy management Backup monitoring and remediation Patch management planning and execution Server security maintenance Cluster management and maintenance Service account administration Cybersecurity remediation and zero-day response Endpoint update management and distribution Server room inspections and audits User access rights management Technician support and training VM provisioning and server lifecycle management Certificate renewals and infrastructure maintenance Warranty monitoring and budgeting for replacements Secondary Responsibilities: Server room clean-up and audits Decommissioning old infrastructure Server replacement projects SQL maintenance and support Vendor coordination and support Remote server access management SAP GUI modifications and deployments Cluster creation and maintenance LDAPS / CA Certificate renewals General infrastructure support and operational tasks as required Important Notes: Position is permanent and on-site in Malelane Candidate must have their own reliable transport Experience in enterprise production environments is essential A strong work ethic and the ability to operate independently is critical Please send through suitable CVs together with: Current salary / CTC Salary expectations Notice period Certifications Current location Reason for leaving current employment Remuneration
