Overview A $1bn Africa-focused private equity firm is seeking a Private Equity Analyst to join its Cape Town office. This role offers hands-on exposure across the full investment lifecycle, working closely with senior investment professionals in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, with strong development opportunities and early responsibility. Responsibilities Identify and assess investment opportunities through market research, sector analysis, and company screening Build and maintain financial models to analyse performance, valuation, and key value drivers Support end-to-end due diligence and transaction execution, including coordination with external advisors Monitor portfolio company performance, update valuations, and contribute to strategic and operational initiatives Prepare investment memoranda, internal presentations, and reporting materials Travel occasionally within South Africa and internationally Candidate Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field 1–3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking/M&A, corporate finance, consulting, audit, or transaction services Strong relevant internships with transaction or financial analysis exposure will also be considered CFA, CAIA, or other financial qualifications are an advantage Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excel capability, with a solid understanding of valuation methodologies Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail Sound commercial judgment and understanding of business models and industry dynamics Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines High standards of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality #J-18808-Ljbffr
