We like to promote from within: Here’s your chance. Purpose of Role To support the Social Media team in creating and executing high‑performing, platform‑native content across Takealot Group channels. This role focuses on bringing creative ideas to life from concept to shoot to post while ensuring content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with brand objectives. Qualifications & Experience Matric / Grade 12 certificate Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing Technical Skills Basic video editing and content packaging skills Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and short‑form content trends Basic copywriting skills (captions, hooks, CTAs) Good eye for aesthetics, detail, and visual storytelling Ability to brief creative assets to designers Familiarity with task management tools (e.g. Asana) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Advantageous: Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite or similar tools Previous content creation or UGC experience Understanding of beauty, fashion, or lifestyle content Creative and proactive with a strong sense of initiative Confident in communicating ideas and giving feedback Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and growth mindset Adaptable in a fast‑paced environment Team player with a collaborative approach Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Execution Shoot and create engaging short‑form content for social platforms Edit and package content for optimal performance across channels Write captions that are engaging, natural, and on‑brand Review and approve content before publishing Trend & Platform Relevance Monitor and stay ahead of social media trends Translate trends into brand‑relevant, engaging content Contribute ideas that keep the brand culturally relevant Content Planning & Coordination Assist in maintaining the social media content calendar Work closely with the Social Media Manager and Strategist on campaign execution Brief artwork and creative requirements to design teams Support product shoot coordination (product selection, ordering, logistics) Assist with model scouting and shoot planning Operations & Workflow Track tasks and manage workflows using tools like Asana Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of content This is a contract position High Level At Takealot Group, our Internship Programme is designed to give you real, hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment. You’ll gain exposure to the full content lifecycle from strategy and ideation to execution and performance tracking while building both technical and creative skills. General Support Provide day‑to‑day support to ensure smooth execution of social media content and team operations. Assist with ad‑hoc content tasks, campaign needs, and creative projects as required. Support content shoot preparation, coordination, and wrap‑up. Help organise and maintain content assets and files. Stay aligned with brand guidelines while contributing creatively.
