About the role: The Miner is responsible to achieve performance targets in sections, through planning, organizing, and control of day‑to‑day operations. Minimum Qualifications Criteria National Senior Certificate (With Mathematics and English) Valid Blasting Certificate Gas Testing Certificate Competent A 5 years experience in underground gold mining Additional Criteria Medically fit and able to work in challenging conditions. Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Experience and knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment and relevant legislation Self‑Mastery: Takes accountability for driving own growth through developing self‑awareness, reflecting, seeking feedback and self‑correcting Responsibilities and duties Ensure that targets are met Improve performance and reduce costs Ensure team adheres to SOP’s and COP’s Provide Safe and healthy working conditions Build capabilities of in‑section personnel Conduct section inspections to eliminate risks Conform to legal and mining requirements Identify and implement best practices Coach and develop subordinates Execute administrative support work efficiently and accurately Selection Terms and Conditions The successful candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996. Applicants must be prepared to undergo certain job-related assessments, if required as part of the selection process. Criminal and reference checks will be required by the Company.
