SITE MANAGER Residential & Commercial Construction Projects Location: Malawi (Project-Based)Contract Type: Initial 2-Year Contract (Renewable) Role Overview My client, a well-established country estate hospitality property, is seeking a hands-on Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the daily management of restaurant, bar, functions, and room service operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences while maintaining strong operational control Key Responsibilities Full day-to-day management of construction sites, including labour and subcontractors Coordination and sequencing of multiple trades across active work fronts Ensuring strict compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Project Manager Implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental standards Management of materials, site logistics, and productivity Resolution of on-site technical and operational challenges Accurate site reporting, record keeping, and progress updates Essential Requirements Qualification in Construction Management, Building, or Civil Engineering Minimum 10 years’ experience managing residential and/or commercial construction projects Strong technical knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors on fast-paced programmes Solid understanding of construction quality control and site safety standards Solutions-driven, disciplined, and highly organised working style Previous experience working in Africa or outside South Africa is a strong advantage Working Environment Professionally managed projects within a structured delivery framework Clear reporting lines and defined authority on site Access to Project Manager, consultants, and head office technical support Stable operational environment with a long-term project pipeline Strong performers will be considered for future projects and senior leadership opportunities Remuneration & Benefits Salary (Net): ZAR 55,000 – 65,000 per month (Negotiable) Initial 2-Year Contract , with renewal based on performance and project continuity Return Flights to point of origin when on leave fully covered Accommodation ( furnished) fully provided for by company Work permits fully arranged and funded by company Structured environment, clear authority, and long-term career prospects Any additional benefits will be covered in the interview Application This role is ideal for a senior Site Manager seeking international exposure, strong project governance, and long-term development within a growing construction pipeline.
