As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you will support our Service Technicians in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment on site. What you’ll do Assist Service Technicians with routine maintenance, repairs, and installation of mechanical equipment. Perform basic mechanical tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, assembling, and dismantling components under supervision. Conduct equipment inspections and report defects or abnormalities promptly. Engage in learning and applying mechanical fitting skills aligned with training requirements and competency standards. Complete required training modules, maintain logbooks, and pass assessments within set timeframes. Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors and support a world‑class safety culture. What you’ll bring – Must‑haves Grade12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science or N3 in Mechanical Engineering. Ability to read technical drawings. Strong willingness to learn and develop mechanical fitting skills. Commitment to safety and teamwork in a hands‑on technical environment. Nice‑to‑haves Background in a technical environment.
