Duties and Responsibilities: Recruitment: Coordinate recruitment & selection process Draft and place advertisements on relevant recruitment platforms Screen CVs and shortlist candidates Conduct pre-screen interviews and provide feedback Schedule interviews Conduct reference checks Co-ordinate onboarding process for new employees Employee Relations:Provide support and guidance to management and employees regarding HR matters Assist in facilitating and handling investigations including the initial IR discussions Draft relevant documentation (Warnings and hearing notices) in line with the company disciplinary code Prepare discipline hearing packs Maintain IR records and tracker Prepare CCMA Packs as required Time & Attendance:Full Management of EDMA Time & Attendance Ensure new hires are loaded onto Biotimes & EDMA Daily time approvals Daily monitoring of absenteeism, late coming and extended lunch breaks Ensure all employees timesheets have been approved by payroll cut off dates Ensure leave is accurately captured onto the system HR Administration:Maintain and update employee records and HR databases Prepare monthly HR reports Ensure personal files remain compliant Prepare new hire packs for onboarding onto payroll system Performance Management:Conduct monthly performance meetings with new hires and their line manager Ensure probationary period documentation is completed and kept up to date Confidentiality & Data Protection Requirements:The HR Officer will have access to confidential information, employee files, disciplinary records ect. This information must not be shared, discussed, or disclosed to any person who is not authorised to access it. Confidential information must be handled and stored securelyboth physically and electronicallyand may only be used for the execution of the roles duties. Under no circumstances may sensitive data be removed from site, photographed, replicated, forwarded, or discussed with unauthorised individuals, including colleagues. Any breach of confidentiality, misuse of information, or unauthorised disclosure will be treated as a serious misconduct offence. Professional Conduct & Ethical Responsibility:The HR Officer is expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and diligence in all aspects of the role: Where uncertainty or irregularities arise, seek clarification and escalate concerns promptly to the HR Business Partner. Remain objective and impartial when reporting issues, ensuring that accuracy and compliance always remain the priority. All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective and responsible manner to ensure the best operating costs Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or relevant qualification Minimum 3 5 Years HR Experience in a mid-level position Experience within a manufacturing environment is advantageous Experience on EDMA & Payspace is advantageous Knowledge of Labour Law including BCEA and Labour Relations Act Strong Communication skills Attention to detail
