Silviculture Manager(Forestry), Ugie Eastern Cape, Rneg + Ben Sc./B-Tech in Forestry Management a pre-requisite, Business or Management related qualification will be an advantage. At least 15 years· experience in silvicultural activities, in an FSC certified environment, 5 years of which must be at a managerial level (Silviculture). Knowledge and experience of mechanization in forestry to be demonstrated. Extensive experience in Valid driver's Proficiency in Microforest, GIS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of FSC & SHEQ principles and procedures. Good communication skills. Ability to enforce and maintain high standards. DUTIES : Managing landholdings of 76, 000 Ha (33 700 Ha is planted) on a sustainable basis Managing a large commercial heard of livestock to productivity Budgeting and cost control Planning and organizing work to maximize efficiency and productivity Effective and efficient management of people and service providers Instilling environmental and conservation legislation compliance Cost effective establishment, tending and fire protection Maintaining database integrity Safety/risk/ FSC compliance TUP management Active participation in provincial and local FPA structures
