Overview We are looking for a Broker Consultant – Employee Benefits, who will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of financial advisers and their Employee Benefits clients by delivering exceptional service, strengthening intermediary relationships, and supporting new business growth. The role ensures the effective installation and ongoing management of funds, compliance with regulatory requirements, and a consistent, high-quality Alexforbes client experience, while embedding Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles across all interactions. Education Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting Three-year tertiary qualification in Financial Management or a related field (advantageous) Experience 6–8 years’ experience within the financial services industry Proven Employee Benefits and client servicing experience Strong working knowledge of retirement funds, Section 14 transfers, and FSCA requirements Intermediary & Client Relationship Management Employee Benefits Industry Expertise Service Excellence & Ownership Mindset Communication, Influence & Negotiation Compliance, Risk Management & Ethical Conduct Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of financial advisers and Employee Benefits clients through proactive and relationship-focused servicing. Take full ownership of the Alexforbes experience for advisers and corporate clients, ensuring service excellence at all touchpoints. Support new business installations by completing employer applications and coordinating all required fund documentation. Liaise with Legal and internal stakeholders to draft, finalise, and submit special fund rules and documentation to the FSCA. Review, authorise, and quality-check scheme analyses and investment choices prepared by installation teams. Provide training, guidance, and quality assurance to advisers on Section 14 transfer processes and FSCA requirements. Act as the central liaison between advisers, transferor and transferee funds, and Section 14 administration teams to resolve queries and delays. Prepare quotations, support new business opportunities, and contribute to achieving individual and team new business and retention targets. Build and maintain strong adviser and client relationships through regular engagements, meetings, and portfolio reviews, identifying risks and growth opportunities. Embed and monitor Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles by ensuring compliance, reviewing outcomes, and staying up to date with regulatory development Why Join Alexforbes?
