About the Role We are seeking a highly capable Senior Architectural Technologist to join our dynamic, design-led practice based at our Woodstock, Cape Town studio. This role is suited to a technically strong, detail-oriented individual who can take ownership of projects from design development through to construction, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead project documentation from design development to construction Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings and BIM models Ensure compliance with SANS 10400 and local authority requirements Coordinate with consultants and integrate their information into the design Resolve technical issues during documentation and construction phases Conduct site visits and support construction administration Prepare tender documentation and construction packages Mentor junior team members Personal Attributes Highly organized and detail-oriented – Able to manage complex documentation with accuracy and consistency across project stages. Strong sense of ownership and accountability – Takes responsibility for ensuring that all design outputs are technically sound, coordinated, and successfully realized on site. Clear and confident communicator – Able to coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors with clarity and professionalism. Technically curious and quality-focused – Constantly seeks to improve detailing, documentation standards, and construction outcomes. Qualifying Criteria Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology 7–10 + years of relevant experience Proficiency in ArchiCAD preferred, but not a deal breaker (you would need to be willing to learn) Strong technical detailing ability and site experience required Experience delivering projects through construction stage Knowledge of local regulations and submission processes Strong understanding of all the architectural Work stages (must have seen projects through to completion) SACAP Professional Registration Fine Print This opportunity is based in our Woodstock, Cape Town studio. The remuneration package, which includes group life cover (post probation) will be commensurate with experience.
