Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Group Accountant to maintain accurate financial and tax reporting while managing and implementing robust accounting and reporting controls. Key Responsibilities Prepare annual financial statements for multiple entities and consolidated group statements. Submit IT14s, provisional tax returns, and dividend tax returns via e-filing. Reconcile and submit VAT and withholding tax returns for both South African and foreign entities. Compile annual budgets and forecasts. Review monthly bank reconciliations and process general journal entries. Manage trial balances and perform consolidations for all reporting entities. Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform month-end and year-end system closures. Submit quarterly reporting packs and liaise with internal and external auditors. Review and authorize payments on banking systems. Develop, monitor, and implement internal accounting policies. Qualifications & Experience B.Com Honours or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (B.Com). Articles advantageous. Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/reporting roles. Staff management experience. Strong background in group reporting, taxation, and consolidation. Technical Knowledge Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and a recognized accounting package. Experience with Cognos, Business Central, and Draftworx advantageous.
