Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Electrical Sales Engineer to join our team and drive business development within the mining industry.Position Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, preparing technical proposals, and promoting electrical products and solutions to mining clients. This role combines technical expertise with sales and account management responsibilities.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with mining houses, EPCM consultants, contractors, and end users. Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads within the mining sector. Promote and sell electrical products, systems, and solutions. Conduct client visits, presentations, and technical demonstrations. Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions. Interpret client specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions. Negotiate contracts and close sales opportunities. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project execution. Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records. Minimum Requirements National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 35 years' experience in technical sales within the mining or industrial sector. Strong understanding of mining electrical systems and equipment. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing client relationships. Ability to interpret technical specifications and tender documents. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively. Advantageous Experience Experience with MV/LV electrical equipment, substations, switchgear, transformers, motor control centres, VSDs, protection systems, or automation solutions. Existing network of contacts within the mining industry. Experience with tendering and contract negotiations. Knowledge of mining regulations and industry standards.
