# Junior ConsultantThis job is published by an external platform.| | || --- | --- || Location | Western Cape, South Africa || Contract | Full time || Work Model | Remote || Closing | in about 2 months |As part of a small, high-impact team, you will take ownership of your work and contribute directly to client outcomes and internal innovation, including the development of proprietary tools and solutions.In return, we expect a resilient, growth-orientated mindset, a willingness to push beyond your comfort zone, and a strong commitment to teamwork.YOUR TASKSProject Delivery & Development- Support consulting projects in the financial services sector- Write and ship code that powers real client-facing tools – from pricing engines to risk dashboards- Work with datasets to build models, automate processes, and generate insights- Debug and improve existing codebases in production environmentsClient Analysis & Solution Design- Analyse client processes, data architectures, and systems- Identify optimisation opportunities through analytical and technical solutions- Support the development of tailored, recommendationsData & Market Analysis- Perform quantitative analyses and translate findings into actionable insights- Research market trends, regulatory developments, and industry challengesStakeholder Engagement- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes- Translate your technical work into clear findings — explaining what you built and why it matters to non-technical clientsInternal Innovation- Contribute to internal tools, accelerators, and frameworks- Support knowledge sharing through documentation, training materials and workshopsYOUR PROFILEEducation- Degree in Computer Science, Financial Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field- Strong self-taught candidates with coding or technical project experience are also encouraged to applyTechnical Skills- Working proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, Go, etc.).
