Senior Manager – Digital Solutions Reference: EL -Glyni-3 We are seeking a Senior Manager – Digital Solutions for a 5-year fixed term contract role based in East London, Eastern Cape. Duties & Responsibilities Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Post Graduate Degree in Information & Communication Technology or related 8+ years working experience in an IT environment of which 5 years must be at middle management or senior consultancy level The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Strategic planning and governance – develop unit plans; enhance/implement treasury systems, process, procedures, tools & control systems; ensure timeous reporting; implement controls; manage and support audits; participate in management forums; facilitate dept communications IT strategic planning / development & implementation – envision / deliver technology solutions and services; lead IT operational planning; IT structure development; IT advise IT Management / strategic direction – identify cost effective investments; develop, track and control budgets; disaster recovery plans; coordinate new technology; ensure law adherence; oversee relationships; develop/maintain technology plan; analyze/improve technology standards Contract management / IT governance – manage service contracts / nonperformance; develop policies and frameworks; quarterly reports to IT committee Architectural project management – translate strategic requirements into usable / living IT; IT architectural oversight; ensure IT architecture design is stored correctly; maintain knowledge of emergency trends Budget management – manage budget constraints; evaluate units performance; implement corrective measures; authorize payments/ prepare budget transfer; planning / forecasting People management – develop / train staff and arrange succession plans; EE and recruitment policies; manage performance; manage discipline and absenteeism Customers / stakeholder management – stakeholder mapping; build/lead effective team; provide support to senior management; arrange, attend, and contribute to meetings Salary: Market related for the contract period Please email detailed CV and supporting documentation and salary requirements through to with “Senior Manager: Digital Solutions” in the subject line.
